Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company (Great-West) serves millions of Americans through a range of group retirement savings products and services, individual retirement accounts, life insurance and annuities, and business-owned life insurance.

We conduct our principal businesses through two divisions, Retirement Services and Individual Markets.

Great-West was incorporated in 1907. We trace our roots to our former parent company, incorporated in 1891.

Great-West is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Great-West Lifeco Inc. (Lifeco) and “A Member of the Power Financial Corporation Group of Companies”®. The company’s sole stockholder is Lifeco subsidiary GWL&A Financial Inc. Lifeco shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (GWO).

Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company is not licensed to conduct business in New York. Insurance products and related services are sold in New York by its subsidiary, First Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Company, White Plains, New York.

• Offers individual retirement accounts,  individual term and single-premium life insurance, individual annuity products and business-owned life insurance and executive benefits products
• Distributes individual life and annuity products through financial institutions and distributes business-owned life insurance and executive benefits products through specialized consultants

Community Involvement

Our signature initiative is the Great-West Great-Teachers^SM personal financial literacy grant program, which assists Colorado educators with bringing financial education programs into classrooms.

Great-West also supports the American Heart Association, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through community sponsorships.

In addition, we support our employees who donate their time and finances to causes in their communities through volunteer and financial matching programs and our annual giving campaign.
