Sales projected to jump under new national accounts director

Great-West Financial® adds expert to sell retirement plans to large-market clients in northeast

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo., Oct. 29, 2013 — Great-West Financial® has appointed Andrew Gracan, an experienced sales leader, as regional sales director of national accounts for its northeast market, announced Barbara Lewis, head of large market 401(k) and 403(b) sales.

Gracan is responsible for sales of 401(k) and 403(b) products to sponsors of large-market corporate and nonprofit organizations in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. He is based in Pittsburgh and reports to Lewis.

"We're pleased to have a person with Andrew's extensive experience and talent for building relationships on our team," Lewis said. "He partners with CFOs, treasurers, plan sponsors, human resources personnel and intermediaries to identify client needs. Then he offers creative retirement plan solutions," she said.

Gracan joins Great-West Financial from First Commonwealth Financial Advisors, Inc., where he served as vice president, retirement plan advisory group, since February 2012. While in this role, he transitioned a fully bundled trust-delivered retirement plan business to a fiduciary services/registered investment adviser model and retained 100% of the business. From 2007 to 2012 he was vice president of large market sales at J.P. Morgan Retirement Plan Services where he reported to Lewis, who also was at the firm through 2009. Since beginning his career in 1999, he’s held increasingly responsible sales positions at firms such as Automatic Data Processing, Inc. and Fifth Third Asset Management.

Gracan has an MBA in finance (Cum Laude) from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in business (Cum Laude) from Youngstown State University. He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses. Gracan also holds Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst, Accredited Investment Fiduciary and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.

"As more national 401(k) and 403(b) plans realize Great-West Financial is a trusted financial partner to and through retirement, we're experiencing solid sales growth," Lewis said. "With the addition of Andrew in our northeast region, I’m confident we’ll finish the year strong."
